Torque Converters

Triple Tested Quality

TCI® strives to produce the best torque converters in the industry. Part of the process involves ensuring that each unit is built to spec. Triple TestedRegardless of what category or price level it may fall into, every TCI® torque converter is Triple Tested during assembly.

Once all the prep work on the component parts has been completed, the impeller is welded to the front cover. Immediately following this process, a pair of dial indicators are employed on a rotating table to verify that the impeller body and pump drive hub remain true.

Each unit is then pressurized and subjected to a leak test to confirm the integrity of all the weld seams. Lastly, each unit is computer balanced to reduce annoying and potentially damaging drivetrain vibrations that would occur from an unbalanced torque converter. That's Triple Tested so you can be confident you're getting a torque converter that's ready to roll.

438000 Aluminum Pan for AOD/AODE/4R70WAOD/AODE/4R70W Cast Aluminum Pan
This one pan kit is all you'll need no matter if you own an AOD, AODE or a 4R70W. The pan is an extra-deep design, ribbed for added cooling capacity. A drain plug makes fluid & filter changes much more pleasant. Kit comes with all necessary gaskets, filters and installation hardware.

Severe Duty Transmission Crossmember MountTCI 952501 Ford Transmission Mount
This quality crossmember mount is made from urethane and features a safety interlock between mounting points. A great addition for high horsepower applications that require maximum shock absorption. The urethane is impervious to grease, oil and road grime unlike stock rubber mounts. Kit comes complete with mount and high strength installation hardware.

TCI®’s new 436001 Ford AODE/4R70W Trans-Scat® Valve Body Kit helps owners custom tailor their transmission shift firmness by offering three adjustment settings. As an added benefit, the kit includes a larger overdrive servo to increase the life of the overdrive band and an improved 2-3 shift accumulator to enhance shift quality and reduce internal fluid leakage.

The TCI® Trans-Scat® Valve Body Kit creates positive shifting transmission action which results in less slip and reduced heat build-up. Less heat build-up increases the longevity of the transmission. TCI®’s AODE/4R70W Trans-Scat® Valve Body Kit also includes a special locking system for the intermediate roller clutch along with several upgrade suggestions which can be incorporated during the transmission overhaul. The TCI® Ford AODE/4R70W Trans-Scat® Valve Body Kit fits a wide range of applications from cars to trucks.
